Ugly? Looks a lot like all other visors. The car is a 1950 Buick. I think it was a special order back in the 50's.
Does anyone know anything about this visor? I've never seen anything like it and my car only has 28k miles... so it had to have been a custom made...

Yea it just sounds like its something with the bands. If the car is moving and shifting then you might be ok. Might not even need to rebuild it.
$500 - no more. its pretty rough...
Just a cheap $30 ryobi from Home Depot... worked pretty well though. 3M buffing compound and turtle wax polish.. and 6 hours, now my arms hurt!
