Bad ass man. Love that this is getting a diesel. I want to put a diesel in something someday.
Thanks man. I've been following your build. It's given me some much needed motivation. I wanna drive already. Yeah I try to jump around and...
Haven't touched the car in a bit. Starting to warm up here so it's been tough to find the motivation ha. I moved the car into the garage to...
Yeah. I went with a simple 2 link set up with a pan hard. Looking back I wish I would've put the bags on the bars rather than over the axle. [ATTACH]
Since you got a separate chassis then it doesn't get any easier than that. You can pretty much do whatever you'd like and just cut out whatever...
Never looked underneath one. But if it's a leaf spring rear, basically any rear link set up will work. There's tons of different ways. 2, 3, 4...
Having been on the store side of these issues. It really is just a stock photo. ALWAYS assume the item in the picture is not what you're getting...
Thanks. Honestly I thought I'd be a lot further along than I am. It's been almost 6 months now. Picked up the car December 12th.
It was actually pretty straight forward. I put it on the frame and bolted it down. Then I pushed it under the car and lowered the body over it....
Feel like I haven't updated in forever. I bought some skirts off a guy in Nebraska. They arrived and are excellent! [ATTACH] I started cutting...
What's it cost to import one of these? I'd love a Chevy ute.
Nice man. That pink flake is killer!
Thanks. Trying to keep plugging away at it. Still have a ton to go.
I threw the front clip on to see how it looked. I feel like I'm so close yet so far. [ATTACH] I started stripping the paint off the engine and...
Ordered it through chevs of the 40s. Quality is good, I was pretty impressed with it. Lined up with the factory bolt holes.
Nice! I'm building one too.
Big step. Finally it's a car again. I rolled the frame underneath. Sketchy times. Will never use these plastic pieces of crap ever again....
Nice! Engine came out nice! Pics of car?
Awesome! Sounds good. That block color is great.
You can see here how bad the floor braces were. The rest of the floor was similar. The metal was so soft I could push on it with my fingers....
Feel like I haven't progressed much. But it's starting to come together. I placed the floor on the frame to get an idea of what I'd need to...
^^^ what he said. You can make your own cups. They make "cup kits" but some 4" round pipe/tube and some bag plates would probably be cheaper....
That's a great idea! Do you have any close up pictures of the steering setup?
Does anyone have pictures of the steering setups? I want to be able to steer from the push handle but can't figure out how to make it work!
Id rather look at a bunch of tattooed chicks than a bunch of fat old guys! Hahaha
Thanks. Little by little. Plumbed my brake lines(still need to permanently mount them) and just about finished my exhaust. [ATTACH]
Anyone have experience with Royalton white walls? They make a tire with the exact white wall width and overall diameter I need.
You can see in the picture how much further back my trans mount is from the original crossmember. Pardon the surface rust, we had a rain shower...
I'm still a ways from making that decision but it'll be a tough one! Finding a dash might be pretty tough. I started mocking up the engine to...
I ordered the kit through speedway. CPP was the brand that I received. [ATTACH]
