You shouldn't inflate the bag without having something limit the travel. And as said before 170psi is way more pressure in a bag than you should...
No suspention mods needed, but you will have to fab up some mounts, and notch the crossmember to accomodate the oil filter on the 425,472,500....

A 425/ th400 will push the car down the road nicely, if you change the rear end out to a 2.73 or close. With the stock rear end, It couldn't...
