Daily summer driver for 15 years. Built for less thank 5. [IMG]
Plasti Dip makes a stripable rubber spray in many colors. I know Menards and Walmart sells it.
Back in the summer '69, when I was young, foolish, and indestructible, I built a D/SR for SCCA road racing with a 3 cylinder, 2 cycle, 850cc SAAB...
So what did you decide on?
I like the look of this front end. [IMG] But for the life of me I can't find the front spring(s). Can someone explain it to me?
You could make a spacer can for your old springs. [ATTACH] It's a lot of work, but inexpensive. Make a can that your spring will fit inside....
[IMG] Is this your front suspension? Are those your front springs you posted?
There are many 1/4 mile calculators on the web that take into consideration gear ratios, rpm, weight, and rear end. Squirrel is right. If you run...
Rude, I'm diggin that '36. [IMG]
You could pressure bleed them backwards. In at the cylinder out at the master.
[IMG] Now that's the way it's supposed to be done.
The reason I asked is that we have ready access to off the shelf springs like these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/qa1-16ht250/overview/...
Give us something to work with. What were the springs out of originally? Does the spring taper in OD on either end? What is the OD in mm of the...
I believe the side post battery was invented for the '70 Vega. Many cars are shipped from the factory by rail. Most are shipped horizontally,...
Those don't look bad. [IMG]

Don't want to hijack your thread, but I think I remember a thread about the Beach Boy song mentioning shorts....
LEDs need to reach a certain voltage to work, usually in the 3-4 volt range. Usually color dependent. Varying voltage does not brighten nor dim...
Rule No. 29. No pixs...never happened.
The Buick 300 is a cast iron stroked version of the 215, but I would go with a Rover.
Don't think so. That reduces flow, not pressure.
I had a '62 Tempest LeMans convertible 444, 4 cylinder, 4bbl, and 4 speed. I am one of the few people that actually autocrossed one of these...
I like this one: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-week-cutting-and-routing-exhaust-mandrel-u-bends.993838/
I wish I had known this 25 years ago. Would have saved me years of trouble, frustration, and many dollars. I bought a car with a one year only...
Looks like his well equipped fab shop. It's bigger than I thought.
It's a 1968 Austin Healey Sprite with an Arkley SS body conversion. BMC A, 1275 with a 0.160" over bore to 1340cc. 225/50/13 tires on 7x13 wire...
I drove for 20 years with my front plate folded at a 90 degree angle. Never got stopped for it.[ATTACH]
[ATTACH] I just run 49 year old glass packs. They tested at 103 dB in 2002. Now they're 15 years better.
