i worked with a guy who was the Marglass Magician , he would say get some tiger hair / fiberglass mat , and marglass , trowel it in let it cure...
it was there until i shut off the radio ,
ive seen a lot worse , post some build pictures when you get to it

i have to post another compliment and state you guys are really top notch at fabrication of this car i cant wait to see the end results
he should also contact SEMA see if they could help , you would think the state would let him register it all they care about is the all mighty...
