The photo in post 6 looks much like the one I striped from a new aftermarket switch. I was able to do some whittling on the ceramic to make it fit...

Seems that Rodder article says the '58 Olds arms interchange with Pontiac. Those are super hard to find as well. A 1 year only deal.
Not hard to cut some coils but that is pretty low. Let me check the Hollander book for spindle interchange.
Yup, Definitely have a copy of that old Rodder's digest article. Just try to finds a set of lower '58 control arms in a salvage yard!
It looks like '55 & 56 will fit (Hollander) but might anyone know if other years or divisions will work? One of the goals is to run 5 on 5 wheels....

What a timely thread... Picked up a switch pitch a while back, it had the input shaft and 2 wires. Then I find out its just a ST300 with electric...
Think this is for a Chevy truck. Poor thing! It must have a story to tell. It lived to run another day, maybe I will pull the cover & look around....
