Yep that's been my experience as well, Usually means a burned out bulb In the system .
I actually think the white looks best. It seems to bring out the body line better.

Oh no problem ! It'll buff out .
Can you fit a smaller round filter and cap under the mesh and paint it black so to preserve the look you want to keep .
OK upon closer inspection of the double puller, Yes I see the arms are removable and reversible. So I stand corrected, it is not a double puller .
