i would look hard at a T5 also behind the 235,3.55's are good or 370 if u are doing alot of highway drives.i can highly recommend a howard cam...
try this basic steps in rebuilding 235. http://www.autoblueprint.com/1961_pages/61_235_engine_removal.html i used theses pages on my first rebuild...

a 235 six is the cats meow,with a little chrome and polish it is eye catching site under the open hood.it will stand out like sparkling...
87 to 92 with CKZ in serial no.and large MD8 on it you can not go wrong

got the mustang II on,the 235 rebuilt,the 700r tranny back from rebuild and back in truck. only took me 2 years of part time work and saving...
dorman 43112 5/16 tee cut one end and braz the other side shut
x3 the camaro/firebird sub frame is the way to go with gm rear end.if you consider a mustang II front get the heavy tublar arms it is a truck.

best thing since slice bread,if the hose on the bleeder is long enough you can watch it from the cab as you pump the brake like i do.
