The Jalopy Journal
Thanks for this good information.
I seem to remember a magazine article by Tex Smith in the mid 70's on changing a 33 to a (then) more desirable 34 even putting the hood holder in...
Mmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmm louvers!
Mick, good on ya for honoring Doug Reed. In the mid to late 70's his magazine work was about the only coverage our part of the world received....
Just checked out the last few pages after being away for awhile. Great progress on an awesome project!
Lovin' everything about this build. Design and workmanship are awesome.
I double dog dare ya! Great coverage Dan.
We will be in Salina, see ya there if not sooner.
Very cool, hope to see you this summer.
ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed this thread a lot!
I bought a 50 Chevy PU my senior year of high school that had the rear frame hacked off right behind the rear end. Had a pair of coil springs...

Lovin' this build Rusty. You have some real talent.

I've wonderd if pedal ratio could be the problem, but if I remember right it's out of the Nova. Should be ok, right?
Bringing this old thread up again, and yes I been on here before. Still having problems on this 50 Chevy with the front brakes wanting to do too...
I have drank some beer in that shop. Also have kissed the ground after gittin' out of that koop.
I'm using a 76 Nova 10 bolt and a Chassis Engineering spring kit, pretty much all bolt in and works ok. Would like to add a sway bar in the future.
I have done some research through our local newspaper on our track here in Osborne, KS. Were 100 miles from Salina and started in 1953. What was...
After dealing with a highly overpriced Lokar tranny tube (dumbass adapter and all) I cant imagine their shifters would be worth a damn either.
I have to question that 8/10's of a mile thing. Don't that sound like one of those stories some jackwagon would expect you to believe? Didn't even...
I have an in line switch on my roadster. It seems to need replaced every 4 or 5 years. Just quits working.
The bumper on the green sub looks good compared to those ugly ass wheels.
Try Nostalgia Sid's.........sid@droppedaxles.com or WWW.DROPPEDAXLES.COM. He's in Guthrie OK.
