Split manifold on my 50 Chevrolet. Maybe not faster, but sure sounded cool.
Model A car and pickup frames are the same but AA truck frames are heavier. All mounting holes ate basically the same.
ModelAA is heavier than model A

Headlights should be stainless with round not teardrop shape.
Late 31 had the recessed firewall with the fuel shutoff on the engine side of fitewall.
I run mine with the bendix with the larger bolts and have no problems.

I had the same problem with my 289. It was the head gasket.
If all you want do is start it, it won't hurt a thing. Just don't run it long.
Does anyone know where you get tires to fit the thing?

I squeezed a 289 into my 31 roadster by trimming only a couple of inches from the center part of the firewall.
