I think they are the same but like I said when I did my swap the Saginaw would NOT work with the 194 bellhousing.
I swapped a Saginaw 4 spd into my 63 Chevy II with a 194. I am pretty sure that I had to use a V8 bell housing because the stock 6 cylinder bell...
