ya my very first car before i could drive i bought a 1953 merc 4 door i shaved the moldings frenched the head lights and bagged it in the rear...
Thank for the info I think the push rods were broken from the guy using a engine hoist the valve cover was off the motor I started it and ran it...
ow and if any body knows where i can by new push rods
i just bought a 54 235 from the swap meet and one of the push rods was bent a little and one was chipped i figured no big deal ill take them off...

im building a 1954 235 truck motor was wondering if i have to run a harmonic balincer or are the 235s internally balanced
