Well I was looking at my (5D26-1965-Cast- SBF heads) that been on the shelf for too long now and it looks like the machine shop removed the...
From my research the 1970 C4's were the only year that had the 26/26 input spline shaft. From 71 it changed to a 26/24. If I do come across a...
Just curious how did the transmission input shaft hold up?
My 67 is in the case. The tube ran so far down that I thought it went into the pan but I found some pictures of what those C4's look like. Thanks
Understood, I appreciate the feedback. I will look around and do some research on the later model C4's. Is there anyway to identify them quickly...

The heads have been shaved and machined for larger valves. I knew the rocker studs were screw in but I didn't realize the tops were 3/8. Debating...
Is your camshaft solid or hydraulic? That's a pretty big camshaft. I'm assuming you used aluminum heads with the 7/16 rocker stud.
Got it thanks!!
Thanks for the tip on the converter, I like the feel of torque as well. Could you DM the info or person to speak to at Coane?
I've heard modifying the baffles will cause oil to back up. Got a old set of Powered by Ford valve covers I could use.
