The Jalopy Journal
Thanks. Will do.
I've ordered the shocks, what extensions did you use? Thanks for theinfo.
I need to do something like this. I don't quite like the look of the shackle showing though. I might try air shocks instead. Anyone using air...
Can't hardly blame the kids. They aren't taught anything these days.
Welcome aboard! The info here runs deep. Dive in and enjoy.
I went there to actually buy the whole car. I was going to grab the dash knobs but changed my mind. I just took enough tools to get the seats. As...
Went and looked at the '55 at Pick Your Part mentioned in the post above. It was in pretty good shape. Minimal rust, just some minor rust on the...
Well, since I worked for Ford, it was probably that Motorcraft PTFE. It's been about 45 years ago. (Hard to believe).
You may try lubricating it with lubriplate . Take the cable out of the housing and lube it as you put it back into the housing. Had to do this a...
Nice. And it looks like a Club Coupe also.
Thanks for the offer, GA. I appreciate it.
Almost 1400 miles from SoCal To Killeen. About 18 hr drive. Would probably have to make one overnighter there and one on the return trip. ( Not...
Thanks for the offer. How long do you think you can hang on to it? I don't know when I would be able to make it out there and travel expenses...
Man, I need a front seat for a '54 2 door. Shipping would probably be prohibitive to SoCal. Too bad.
Looking back on the '54 build I probably should have gone with the 302/5.0 instead. There would have been less modifying and more room around the...
Don't know firsthand about an FE in a '54, but I did put a 351W in my '54 Club Coupe with a Tremec 3550. It's a pretty tight fit. Firewall...
Thanks GAmes but I think its a little too far for me right now. Was hoping for something closer to home.
Hello guys. I am also looking for a front seat for the '54 Club Coupe. It has to be from a 2 door or a Ranch wagon. If you hear of any others...
Will do. Ordered through e-bay for the '54. Will report back when they arrive and are installed.
Thanks for the tip. Will check it out.
Anyone know of a supplier for the springs that hold those inner chrome pieces to the headlight door? I haven't been able to find any. What have...
Try taking the regulator loose, then take the glass channel off of the regulator. I think thats the way I did it on the Club Coupe rear windows.
Thanks Paul. There are a couple of hydraulic hose makers in my local area. will check with them also.
Thanks nosford. There is a large NAPA store nearby but they probably don't get much farm equipment.
Thanks for the replies and the info. Will check it out.
Hello all. Been awhile since posting but I have been working pretty hard the last week on the '54 Club Coupe. I'm ready for power steering...
Might try Larry's T-Bird parts in Corona, Ca. I've picked up quite a few parts for my '54 Coupe from Larry.
Check with NASCAR Dave, he may have some info on sway bars for you.
Looks like you need a hood hinge rebuild.
Sweet!
