yes I use Pine Sol always on my old Holley 94s. Then a quick rinse in a parts solvent to wash clean the pine sol which leaves a slight residue....

I have used Rootlieb hoods on many Model A`s and found them very high quality and most cases fit better than most original hoods do.

I am building a 53 Merc 1/2 ton and will use a 9" from a 76 f-100 They are a bolt in. So Ibelieve that 60-80 will fit.

Yes and if the button on the dash does not have a good ground when it is pressed the solenoid will not work. Check that the button is grounded...
