still have car..have done nothing to it but sittin in garage...I keep going to car shows and im getting the ich back to continue this...
well started it up cold...choke was opening to fast so had to richen that. and adjust idle... got it warmed up tried to check timing never saw the...
well I tried to set a 6 and then on next start up never could see the mark even though it ran better...Ill try again another day...lol
I will mark the crank so I can check the timing...what should it be on the 289? and do I check with or without vacuum to distributor ....I sprayed...
ok when I start the car its around 19 on vacuum...as it warms up it drops a little to like 17...the needle bounces a little almost one...
since thats cheap I was going to try that too... no booster...only vacuum lines is to the pcv and the distrib...

well everything im trying to deal with is when the car is completly wrmed up and im getting a lean condition....since I restrict the air coming in...
the pcv attaches to a intake spacer under the carb..
Im wanting to know what I need to do for emergency brake adjustments on my 64.. right now I press down the ebrake and of course car can move...
the air breather lets out alot more smoke than I think there should be...but when i pulled up the pcv there was good vacuum...so dont know......
tried the carb cleaner....didnt find any spots to where the rpm increased...tried pcv valve..etc..hoses all around base of carb and spacer...
yes if I choke it the rpms come up and idle great..

yeah it is just didnt want to be 20k into this car...and still not have power steering/ or disc brakes..etc
going to sell car so if I can part it out to get more then I will otherwise I have a roller for sale

bought a galaxie cruise o matic column for 35 bucks shipped so will see about that...will prob just keep manual steering since keeping stock...
im game if someone would copy those brackets and sell them cheaper
would anyone have a clue if the power steering setup in a 63-64 galaxie would go into a 55 easily?
I dont mind the spear either...I wont be following anyone too close with drum brakes anyway..lol
I dont know if I really even want tilt in the car it doesnt really matter to me...my 55 fits me perfect for almost 6ft I really just dont want...
now I will be looking for a complete different column auto shift to use with the aod
I would love to keep a column shift for the aod in my 55 instead of doing a floor shift
what you mean by detent? cause the 90s aod mustang shifter has a OD spot and drive and 1st gear
