The Jalopy Journal
what’s the story? Inquiring minds want to know.
When I was a wee lad I had a 51 Tudor that did the same thing. It ran great but I kept getting the milkshake. Pulled heads, all looked great....
At least Steve looks healthier- Chevy not so much
I think member @Nads had one years ago
I have a forbidden M word that does this. If it sits for 2-3 weeks it’s a bear to start. I pretty much just make sure I run it every weekend ish...
im trying to imagine how you did this. Post a picture?
Maybe wash it with dish soap?
Car looks great. Enjoy it.
I’m enjoying this thread a lot. My uncle ordered a red 84 new back in the day. It was a cool car, and I thought it was really fast, still is in my...
It depends on the Maaco. I think they are franchises. I had them paint an OT truck my kid totaled (was nice before the accident) that I couldn’t...
I think it’s already gone.
[ATTACH] Anybody want a 42 ford quadraport project or parts car? I bought this some years ago, mostly just because it is a 42. I have most of the...
Welcome. There’s a lot of good info and people here.
Good work and good job sticking with it.

As in none were factory made
Get it running and moving and then make plans. My 2 cents
I knew about the engineer thing but what a pain. Safer I guess but an enormous hassle.
Cool car, and great job bringing it back. I think your plan of getting it back together in running condition is wise. I wouldn’t worry too much...
I think I’d look for a running and driving model A resto that is showing its age in your choice of body style, bearing in mind that some 4 doors...
Rub and run. Get it running and have fun. Nice paint is overrated. Not worrying about little scratches and dings is great.
Great thread and cool car. I wasn’t familiar with them before this. Reminds me a little of a falcon.
