The Jalopy Journal
Lots of folks are fond of Spirit, in northern Arkansas.
Very good plan! Some forum owners would have simply said "If you don't like it, leave!" but you've done a great job of balancing your core focus...
I believe the large window pickups with traditional stepside beds were designated "Custom Cab."
This section is for questions to the editors about the forum itself. Try posting in General Discussion instead.
It's not as cut and dried as that. Best guideline is that the essence (look and feel) should be "traditional."
Amen, tfeverfred.
Maybe a separate section for stolen cars? Don't know if that's too much work to implement, but it would keep those posts from getting swallowed...
I know those things don't have much footroom for three pedals, but I'd be tempted to run a Chevy 250 with a Saginaw four-speed and a dual carb...
Might be best to take this up with the moderators via private message.
Definitely a custom, thanks to all that bodywork. But with a 327 it ought to get down the road pretty well.
Sounds good to me, n847!
I second VoodooTwin's recommendation. HAMB is for "traditional rods and customs" only, while Dogfight is much broader (with many of the same people).
Lots of the same people you see here, talking about cars that don't fit here.
Why not just move the "other builds"--the glass roadsters, for example--over to Ryan's sister site at www.dogfightmag.com? A lot of the same...

An excellent plan.
One of the things I've learned by reading the HAMB is just how many of the best companies out there are really just one hardworking guy in a...
As I'm sure the original poster found out two years ago. :)
Context, please.
What is it?
I hope a lot of the "borderline" stuff will be moved over to Ryan's sister site (Dogfight) rather than just deleted, and that a lot more HAMBers...
I found something similar under the hood of my OT project car when I got it home. The leaf blower was amazingly useful (for once). (Not talking...
As I understand it the main drawback to the Mercruiser 3.0 is that you'll have to fab up your own intake and exhaust. On the other hand, it's 140...
Ryan has thoughtfully provided an alternative for builds that may not fit the HAMB criteria. Check out www.dogfightmag.com. Hope to see this...
Here's an interesting build using a T Touring body and an A chassis. I think this is the UK build mentioned earlier....
If you're not sure if it will fit, you can always post it on the sister site (Dogfight).
If you're not sure, post it over in Dogfight instead.
Safe travels, and looking forward to seeing pix of the pile-o-parts.
