    Took a lot of heat to free up the winch block but it still works a treat! Still has the beautifully spliced 1930s wire rope!

    Not sure when the photo was taken, but could have been in the early '30s.. The Tow Truck at the York Motor Garage where my Grandfather was serving his apprenticeship... Think it may be a Dodge??

    NO! the picture is not backwards!! This was the interior of my uncle Micks '57 Ford and as a kidI thought it was way cool... Bucket seats, Venetian blind on the back window, Air Con, T.V. in the glove box and a cold water fountain in the centre console just behind the gearstick (zoom in and you'll see it) West Aussie summers are hot and this baby had all the mod cons...

    Uncle Mick was lucky... the truck was on its roof... he was soaking wet with fuel (and the round drum behind the cab was the aux fuel tank!) and he managed squeeze out of the door gap...
