The Jalopy Journal
I have to agree with the others - that's a time capsule, and it deserves to be kept the way it was. If you pull the body off and start thinking...
Photo won't repost for some reason, but I think it's the side of the slant pan you're looking at.
Beautiful. I could look at that all day.
I'm surprised there's so much debate over the mileage. I'd think that's largely irrelevant on a 50+ year old car. Assess it on its condition and...
Work in progress. This was going to be my entry for the last build-off, but I didn't have time to finish it. [IMG]
I think the spare looks kind of clunky... I'd go with a recessed license plate. The rest is absolutely spot on. You and Steve half inspire me,...
I don't see one either, so I'll post here. Just finished this one. [IMG] [IMG]
Date on the back of these is May 1975. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] This was in the same lot, not sure where it was...
These were taken by my uncle, who moved there in the early '70s. I have some more on-topic ones, but I need to dig them out and scan them. [IMG]...
Just doing some digging, found the BSA shared the body with the Hillman Minx, so no wonder it looks similar.
I think it's a Hillman, c. 1933. [img]
It's definitely an FE, not an MEL.
I found this one in a thread on here somewhere. Yes, I know it's an Impala, but this is how I'd do one; no need for whitewalls or fancy wheels....
Yep, definitely needs lowering, and wheel wells radiused. Looks more street freak than gasser as it is.
I guess it will when it's painted.
I've seen this before somewhere. From memory, they weren't testing threaded fasteners. They pressed pins into holes and let them corrode, then...
Should have this one finished for next week. [IMG]
On the bench. [IMG] [IMG]
I'm not one to use the word awesome, but I am in awe.
Made a couple of minor changes to my coupe -painted the firewall and plug wires black. [IMG] [IMG]
That would be a 'Club Sedan'.
This is my favourite subscribed thread, please keep it coming!
Unelected parasites at that. The sooner we can get out, the better.
Better pics of my entry for the last build off. [IMG] [IMG]
Definitely clear coat old decals before using them. If you're concerned that the old glue won't be any good, or you've sprayed over it, try...
^ Well deserved win. Mine was meant to have a hood, but I ran out of time to make headers and had to use the ones from the '40 sedan, which...
That's pretty rad. Never would have thought of using the Beatnik Bandit fenders on something else.
Same here. I look forward to the updates, but didn't want to clutter up the thread... please keep it going!
Couple of things I've got on the bench. [IMG] [IMG]
^^ Nice... I especially like the '53 F100 and the '49 Ford. This is my entry for the '32 build off - got some paint on it the other day. [IMG]
