The Jalopy Journal
Nah, no drugs.
I got the idea looking at a late 60s Pontiac Grand Prix and Lincoln Mark III. Wonder what the Mark III would look like with a '32 grill instead of...
Thanks! I have to say, that's not all that bad. Not all that good, either, I suppose, but not all that bad.
Hmmm... can you widen the grill to the same width as a normal '32 Ford grill and narrow the bumpers?
The photo I wanted photoshopped was removed because the donor car for the grill had billet wheels? You guys are worse than Southern Baptists....
A lot of it isn't very HAMB friendly, but it seems the car show is open to all, so here's my father's current ride... [IMG]
Shimmed the oil pump on a 409 with a welch plug. Oil pressure was fine... until you hit the gas. Then it blew the oil filter clean off the car! :o
If this is too far off topic, I apologize... Could you shorten the rear overhang on this car by around 10 inches? The trunk is just too damned...
I find that "dum-dum" (the old strip caulk) tends to dry out and crack. I use 3M 08621 Window-Weld. It's stickier and won't dry out or crack.
Wow... that's all I can say... wow.
My grandfather didn't have one...
Not necessarily a "hot rod" or "custom car" family, but definitely a car family. My mom's dad was a combination man in Silver Spring, MD. My great...

I always thought the '61 Olds was in bad need of '61 Cadillac tail fins. To me they look like they were supposed to have them, but at the last...
Thoughts and prayers, sir.
True, but the stock bumper just looks too "tacked on" for me. I wonder about doing a front using '58-'62 Corvette grill trim and bumpers. [IMG]...
Definitely won't be later than '65 as GM buckets went to a different style in '66. Did some searching on FleaBay. They're Corvair seats. [IMG]...
My guess is they're Corvair or maybe '61-'63 Olds F-85/Cutlass, Buick Special, Pontiac Tempest. Tracks might be different, but all the above...
When my '61 caught fire (float stuck), the dry chemical extinguisher did far more damage than the fire. Halon and Halotron is all I carry now.
There's just something about the stock '58-'60 front bumper that just looks "added on" to me. Still thinking through what could be done about...
Halon or Halotron in all our stuff.
Indeed... I'd love to have just the money that was stolen from that place over the fifteen years he owned it! I should write a book of just the...
When I was wrenching, many many moons ago, a lady came in and explained that her car was making a funny noise, and that there was "a light on on...
This didn't happen at a show, but it's just too stupid not to share. My father owned an Exxon franchise in Capitol Heights, Md back in the...
Correct, the TV cable on a 700R4 regulates line pressure, and if misadjusted or if it doesn't move in the proper relation to the throttle, will...
Thoughts and prayers...
My two favorite Italians. The first is a Ferrari 250GTE. Beautiful car. [IMG] The second is an Italian/American hybrid, the ISO Revolta. 327...
My wife has multiple sclerosis. When we met, we met on a motorcycle ride put on by a friend of ours. When we got married, she bought me a nice...
I should also mention, we make our own down-draft paint booth. 2X4 frame covered in plastic with a duct running down the middle of the floor,...
