What liquid would be best to use for bench testing a carb?

Any one have ideas how to remove the small ball in the bottom of the accel pump that is stuck on a Holley?
What are you using to chase the threads on fuel inlet and vacuum port on a Holley 94
I live in Apache Junction Az. Does any one know of a chrome shop close by that does a good job at a reasonable price to chrome a bumper?
