I don't believe the 5.3 came out until 1999.
My 52 has the pot metal ones, and they are original to the car, so just be aware that the stainless are rarer than hens teeth. I was under the...
3spd/OD for sure.
1980's electric forklift technology. Yeah, no.
I had my AM radio converted to AM/FM. I didnt do bluetooth, but it is an option. I'm also still on 6v. http://www.turnswitch.com/index.htm
I vote to keep the 6 and put in a 3 speed OD. Of course I might be biased because I despise the 302/AOD modification.
Put it in the enclosed trailer, pull the battery, sprinkle lots of Bounce dryer sheets in and around it, park trailer next to polebarn until...
Yeah, I was more thinking along the lines of shutting it down if there was a loss of oil pressure(as a resent thread highlights).
Oil pressure switch(that kills ignition) with a push button bypass switch inside that you hold in when starting, until oil pressure comes up....
My 52 is originally a Ford-o-matic car, now with a BW OD. It has what I believe are 3:90's(best I can figure without pulling the third member) and...
I think my dad might have something left in his swapmeet inventory. Not possative. I can check with him.
So I think that I have 3 NOS of those. Can you measure the length of the one on the driver side? I also have some NOS grill pieces and bumper...
What piece of door trim? I have a small assortment for sale. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/assorted-50s-ford-stainless-trim.1068980/

Putting in a max bid is different than using a Snipe program that waits till the last seconds of an auction and bids for you, so someone can't...
I tend to cheat and just figure that stuff out using AutoCAD. Otherwise, I'd have to Google the formula.
Ah, yeah I forgot you put that in. Mine's a little simpler.
Why do you have to take the column apart to run a new horn wire? Mine just runs down the center of the column.
In the center. It is what pushes the horn ring out and preloads it for the horn finction.
Seeing as how there was no documentation, the parts that were there(they all looked like they belonged) didnt function correctly by just bolting...
Thanks. 52 & 53 are the same, except for the horn button. Getting the horn to work was a pain, and took some time and machining.
That is the same horn button I have. [ATTACH]
Yeah, I think all the 53 Ford vehicles had that style of button in them. Finding one to fit the Accessory wheel is the tough part. Very little...
I've seen the Anniversary emblem before, in other accessory wheels. The top half of that all black wheel is leather covered, so possibly white...
54 button - [ATTACH]
52 is red, 53(anniversary) is red with script around the outside, and 54 is white and wheel is all white instead of black and white, I do believe....
Very nice. Is the emblem in the before pic for a 52? I wish I could find an NOS or really nice emblem for mine. I have a new style that some day I...
The rear one looks about correct. The front one is bent up really bad on the bottom.
I'm gonna guess 52-54 Ford Crestline top.
It was mostly complete, I think. I couldn't find any diagrams or photos anywhere, so I had to make a best guess. Post some pictures if you could...
