You also may try taking your gas cap off or loosen it newer tanks seal,not letting vapor out. may be causing pump not to be able to suck fuel.
Try to diconnect fuel line and run it into a bottle or jar, if no fuel check pump and any vent lines,newer tanks have recovery and vent lines.
