Double check the wires - couldn't get my 500 to fire - turned out even though the wires were correct as per an old chevrolet manual - they weren't.

Love that Desoto handle - I too am looking for a mechanical replacement for my door handles! Thought about the Lincoln push buttons, but not sure...
Got mine off flee bay - round $300 easy enough to install, but of course had to do slight modifications. Work great
