That flatty looks so good. Keeping those motors running is the best way to go
Now it's painted.
It runs great. So much fun. I took it up to placerville through emmett and horseshoe bend. I came back to nampa through Idaho city. Awesome...
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] got a new tech at the swap meet yesterday. Looks cool.
Thank you. I'll Keep you posted on the progress.
It's a 221 c.i. Block I had bored to 239 c.i. to clean up the cylinders in it and I had to cut the heads way out to get the valves to clear the...
I found some polished 4x8 sheets of aluminum diamond plate I really like I want to use. It' soft but looks great and it' cheap, $100. Also light...
I think it's a 3:70 . We did the math and that' what it seems to be. I had it up to 75 and I think it will top out at around 80 somewhere. I...
I failed pre race inspection at swap meet and test tune drags but got info on what I need to be ready for the nostalgia drags. Found a cool tach...
[ATTACH] Finally got the bed on. Almost ready for paint
Sorry. I hate spell correct. I went too far when I cut out my heads to get the valves to clear them. I put in an isky 400jr cam in the motor and...

The pickups on this thread are really sharp. I hope to make my 1940, flathead powered truck a hotrod but too afraid to lower it or cut the work...
I'll keep adding pics. I actually put out on the freeway near Boise today. Did real good up to 70 mph and stayed comfortable at over 65mph
Another pic. I'm going to keep adding photos as I progress.
Will do. I'm working on the bed and a friend sold me a set of 1935 ford spoke wheels so I'm cleaning then up also
That is so cool. I'm rebuilding the bed on my truck and I envy yours. I'm cutting out rust but no new panels. The stake pockets are going to be...
I feel like this truck deserves to be retired from heavy work but still driven. I just want to drive it and still feel all the bumps and bounces...
This is the inside. I need to update some more pics
To easy. Remember that each side of the block is separate. You have to flush both sides. I just put a house in at the top of the head and...
Definitely went to far in the cutting. It was the only way to get the isky 400jr to fit. Runs really good though.
Will do. I have the hood, fenders, and glass in with new rubber seals. I have a video on you tube at 1940 ford 59a. It shows me test driving. So...
