I know this is an old post and did not put an update....well once we opened it up ...there is a little ball bearing on the shifter that holds it...
Also the oil pan is different. it will sit on the cross member and steering rods. I had to change out the oil pan yesterday to get it to sit down
It wont work...I just tried it last weekend...the bell housing is different...the bolt pattern on the top does not line up
Hey I could be wrong but the mirrors on the chevy ...I dont think those were stock
