The Jalopy Journal
Thanks a bunch
Do the axles come out the same as a 9inch on a 53' car rear?
I've got a 48' in mine. used the whole front end from a 48' sedan, works fine.
I believe around 570 for a 239.
I have never used the SEM product but have used Bulldog adheasion promoter for many years with good results.
A buddy of mine put one on his 430 buick motor and had nothing but problems with it.
I used the same stuff on my Model A and it took a few days to dry completly, it'll dry just give it time.
Almost there, looking good Gary. I kinda like the scoop facing the cowl.
Guys and Gals, Thanks for all of the info and inspiration. I cant wait to get there maybe not this year but definetly next year. the Bend sounds...
Greezy, where's the bend. we may rent an rv.
Yae from what I found on the net it looks small. Thanks
Im planning to go to speed week 2010. whats the best hotel for night time car scene or anything to do after the races close for the day?
Thanks Fogger, I'll give him a call tomorrow. the "O" ring type seal is for where the tube pivots in the bell correct?
Anyony know who sells the seals for the bell on the tranny where the torque the attaches (48' Ford). I checked NAPA with no luck.
Just want to say a big THANK YOU to Alan and everyone who put on the races. We had a great time today and look forward to next year.
An old striper told me years ago to use denatured alcohol. I've done it a few times with good results. you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes.
I just put on the last coats of primer before lunch. Ill sand and paint her tomorrow.
The frame looks good Gary, Now ya gotta get hoppin'
I'm runnin Edmunds on my 48' with stock studs.
You Guys rock. Man that look cool.
50/50 mix of ATF and acetone for penatrating oil works the best. learned that here on the HAMB.
Mine weighs 2140 with a flatty.
Thanks for the info guys.
Just curious.
Im just thinking if the truck is light and the bars are short the leverage could lift it.
Are the ladder bars too short?
Welcome , That 53' looks killer I love it. My bad 54'
