Did the bellhousing come with a bearing retainer for the release bearing to ride on in the center hole or is bellhousing only?
Yes! usually the mainshaft was shortened and resplined for the torque tube drive, but yours was set up for open drive, not as common.
Bellhousing looks like a 1454141 Cad manual transmission '49-'54 Cad sideshift trans appears to have Ford '42 and later pick up open drive bearing...
