Folks, I just got a 1947 Ford COE and I am having difficulty finding parts and information. Are there any groups for 1938-1947 Ford COE's out there?
Be sure to measure it right. Then have a friend measure it. Two sets of eyes. I just had a drive shaft made and it is about 3/4 of an inch shorter...
Yoke, not yolk. I have scrambled eggs for my brains tonight.
I double checked, there is only 3 inches inside the trans. I might have to go see the drive shaft dude again...............
It is a Ford 8 inch. Rear.
Thanks guys. I plan to run the car for a few months to shake the bugs out of it and then when the new England weather comes it will be torn down...
I just got my drive shaft back from the drive shaft dude. My measurments were a little off and with the new shaft installed, the yolk sticks out...
