my 62 is T-bars up front and springs in back...
I helped a buddy lower his the same way as the others already said... 4" blocks and cut one coil. It looked bad ass and he ran the flat 8 daily...
I've given a lot of thought about changing mine in my '62, but never could come up with a good combo. I like the stock ones without the bezel...

I can hardly keep my two on the road consistantly, but somehoe I manage... '62 C20 big window long bed parts getter ranch truck and '63 galaxie...
indeed water cooled torch is the way to go, a little heavy at first but I got used to mine pretty quick, now I wouldn't go back using the old one.
