The Jalopy Journal
My buddy and I are looking to go in on a trailer together to haul various projects and stuff.(Not just cars, fold up sides for hauling brush etc.)....
Very nice. A great milestone to get a "roller". I do like the way you did the rear bones as well as the fronts. Woody
No. You're not the only one that thinks that. Woody
Top notch. I always look forward to seeing your progress. I love all model A's. Now I even love the fordors thanks to you. Woody
Nice work! Glad to see this one coming along. I'm sure that it will look great with the body sitting on it. Woody
That's a cool idea. Hardly noticeable, but will be a really nice touch. I look forward to seeing the pics. Woody
Nice work again Flip. Is the deck lid going to be mounted rumble style? Yeah, you need some wheel disks. Woody
I think it looks great. What's the deal, do you mean "cage" like the roll bar on a lifted toyota truck? Woody
Those little pics don't do it justice. That car is and is going to be one of the sweetest cars on the HAMB, or any where for that matter. Nice...
I have been thinking of the same thing. The deuce firewall gives a "natural" recess with out "hiding" the engine. Of course they do look pretty...
That thing is a tudor! Man it got hit so bad they made it look like a fordor. Shame to see that... Woody
I like the idea of using C-clamps against the cross member with the spring in place. I'll have to try that out. Hey Ric, how's it going? How...
These are some pics that Kennedy sent me of his car. I said I would post them for him. I think it looks good. Perhaps we can get him to show us...
I made one it is 4'x5' about 30" high. Woody [IMG] [IMG]
Here are a couple of pics on mine. It's not finished(obviously),however that may help. I could take more if you'd like. I don't know how it's all...
Consider too that the '28-'29's had a lower profile and were lighter than a '32. Woody
That looks reeealllly nice. Did you start with a Model A axle?
A highboy is an un-channeled car with out fenders.
Dick Spadaro, what are your thoughts on using an after market dropped axle with post '36 spindles, or thoughts in general of after market axles...
If you want to use the piece of 3"X3" you can just remove the model A cross member and sell it to some one who wants it. However the rear spring...
I think speedway has a "high arch" model A/T spring for about a hundred bucks. Woody
I don't know if you've thought of this or not. I see that the steering arm on the spindle is bent up a little. Perhaps you could make a new one...
At my old job I used a DeWalt 18 volt all the time. I felt the battery would go for a pretty good while. That thing had the crap beaten out of it....
Shizzie! I think I want at least four. Three to put on my mill and one to keep in the box and save. Those looking great. Woody
I bought one from harbor freight. I works real well. I think I paid about $200 with shipping. When I received it from the shippers the pump piston...
I shipped a full set of model A fenders and running boards to from S.F. to Idaho. for a about $100. I packed them in a giant crate(pallet with...
That's a good question. Why is it called "total cost involved"? Doen't seem like the greatest name. Woody
I bought some stainless shackles from them. They called me and told me that they mistakenly sent me some polished plain steel ones. They sent me...
I'm by no means an expert. I've heard that of all of the stock manifolds the "rams horns" flow the best. Apparently they're pretty good flowing in...
