Yes I did, like I said I was trying to use up what I had in my paint cabinet without spending any more money.
I found some lacquer clear in my old stuff, so will shoot the base and flake in urethane then do the lacquer candy and top with lacquer clear....

I am almost positive this is wrong. Olds was an open driveline, Buick and Chev used torque tube driveline.
For a frame I would take it to a professional shop. It will take you days to do a bad job on a car frame.

Spray some starter fluid on the throttle shafts on both sides of the carb. If the engine speeds up there is your problem.
