It isn't a odd thread it is a 4 tpi acme look it up. Grind your own tool.
It may not be your starter it may only be your push switch on top of the starter. Did you try to jump it ?
You should look at the EDMONDS log intake it will let you use your generator.
Ask the seller to clean it up and send you better pictures. JMHO JimT.
Adjust the rear brakes to you get a drag then bleed the system. If the rear brakes aren't adjusted properly it won't work with front disks. Ask...
