The Jalopy Journal
Can’t wait!, going to be a good time, for sure!
Thanks !, glad you like it!
Hope to see you at some other events!
[ATTACH] Here’s a pic I took.
I was at the Hot Rod Bustle as well and your car was a standout!, not too many compromises that I could see! Great job Alex!
Great event!, had a blast. Many thanks to Raul Flores and The Lone Star Lords.
Ben, Great thread! Thanks for letting me share in this adventure! Your boundless enthusiasm and "never say die" attitude were the kick in...
Ben, The car is looking killer! You know I like a rubber rake so I'm in the 5.60-15 camp. Having said that, I know you like your tires more...
This is in the hot, running position. Hope this helps!
I trimmed up a '53 Merc' bumper to fit the back of mine (see avatar) as the original was mangled.
Thanks! Doesn't look like there will be enough hours in the day!

Paul, I'm subscribed! Smart move starting with a nice body (I didn't!). I look forward to this build. Mike
Nice car Johnny, I dig it. As for Propwash, ain't it funny how he can run primer on his cars 'cause "he likes it", but if someone else does it...

I'll plan on being there if work schedule allows. Is it OK to bring my small vintage camper or is it tent camping only?
How far are you willing to travel? The Jalopy Showdown (May) and Showdown drags (Oct.) are in So. PA., both great shows and not too far from D.C..
Here's my junk.
W:eek:W!...... I guess I'll go out in the garage now and look at my meager efforts......
When I lived in N.Y. I always went to the Jalopy Showdown. Now I'm in N.C. I'm gonna' give Steel in Motion a try! see ya' there!
I'd rather have a "fugly " old truck than a blue Mustang :D!
I hate to sound like a jerk, but if you can't afford the correct brake drums maybe you should be focusing your energies on the basics (ie: food ,...
I agree with Allengator, things happen for a reason, it wasn't meant to be.
Unless you have to run fenders (local legal issues), I'd go fenderless, it is, after all, a hot rod!
I sit in my A coupe' and make engine noises, I call it "driving the imaginary Highway".
When you gotta' have nitrous to catch a Dodge Aspen ya' know ya' got problems!
