I have dont notice any problem with that on my car. The lake pipes are about 7/16 from the running boards.

Cadillac does not have fins before 1948, and this car can be older than that :-) But it could be a Chevy or some other car , but i think its a GM...

Thanks. Its a realy simple work, i shaved the doors and hood. then i lowered it about 3 inch. I should replace the slant six to a 318 this winter....
