The Jalopy Journal
The reason I asked is because, while reminiscing about some of the homemade shifters people made in the late fifties, we wondered if it was...
What year was the first aftermarket floor shift conversion kit offered? What was the brand?
Ok, got it. Novel approach but I'd still like to see the adapters I asked about.
What am I looking at? Looks like a stock steering arm with a rod end attached.
Somewhere I saw an adapter that straddles a steering arm and bolts to the end in order to shorten the length of a steering arm for a R&P...
Formed in 1956, incorporated in 1960 still active today.[ATTACH]
Thanks, squirrel, that's the info I needed.
My rod came with a LS6 454 crate motor, the casting dates are all 1990 and it has the 2-piece rear main seal. I'm trying to find specs on this...
Yes, single groove. Everything I've found so far (Including Classic Industries) is for a 3/8" belt.
Need a pulley for a Saginaw pump with 5/8" keyed shaft that will accept a V-belt wider than 3/8" (like 7/16"). Any help?
A friend of mine, who's pretty knowledgeable, claims that the rack inside the unit isn't perfectly flat...that it actually has a peak at the...
GM or Mopar tilt column? Key hole has been molded in.
IMO, the best way to mate a 518 to a big block Mopar is with an Ultrabell adapter bellhousing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/jpt-92457
First off, there is no such thing as a "2500 converter"...the stall speed of any converter depends on power input and a converter that actually...

That's the right idea but the wrong size...I need 1/2" NPT to 1/8" NPT and 3/8" NPT to 1/8" NPT. At least I now know what they're called.

Not the typical hardware store type but the type shown at the bottom of the pic below.
Look for a 4-digit number stamped in the Reverse (longest) lever. If it is Mopar here are the numbers: 2336= '64-'65 A & B Body 6353=...
I'm gathering parts for a Tremec TKO 600 swap and will be using a hydraulic throwout bearing. Problem is (as usual) too many choices and price...
Don't know about other brands but Hilborn has a bunch of different barrel valves, some have ramps that go from slow to go and others have ramps...
"Everyone" used to think the Earth was flat. I am of the opinion that Hilborns can be made to drive like a carb. (starting can be a little tricky)
From the installation instructions for that product: "This hydraulic bearing is designed with a constant running bearing that will touch the...
So the question remains, are the TO bearings used with factory hydraulic setups any different to allow them to spin continuously or were early...
With a master cylinder, a conventional slave cylinder and a sliding TO bearing the only thing that returns the pedal is the pressure plate pushing...
Am I correct in assuming that hydraulic clutch setups allow the throwout bearing to ride on the clutch fingers even when the clutch is engaged?...
I recently acquired a car with one of these in it and found out the temp gauge is reading 40 degrees too low. (no, it's not the sender) I'm...
The first Lodi reunion (circa 1995-96) was the brainchild of the late Craig Norton of Stockton, just a car show with no racing. I attended that...
