What is the latest one can show up on friday night for the pre-party?
One of the 'yards I frequent has a '55 Plymouth with the 230 flathead six and some type of overdrive manual transmission. I'm thinking of trying...
Weird, there's a twin to that car sitting in my town, been there forever. I actually had to check your location to make sure it wasn't the same car
I just swapped a Chrysler 8.25 rear into my '55,fairly easy swap. We had to rmove the old spring perches and weld new ones atop the axle tube...
I am looking at possibly picking up a 49 or 50 Desoto club coupe parts car, does anyone know what body parts might interchange with a '51 Dodge...
I have a pair of '55 Oldsmobile 88 tail lights that were saved from a parts car,and I'm putting them on my pickup. Does anyone happen to know what...
Thanks for the pics,my sister's Oldsmobile is in the show this year.
Last car looks like a '57 Merc
Looks like a nice solid start! My '51 coupe was also rescued from the scrapyard a few years ago.
Just found this '55 Savoy today at a yard, while poking around for parts for my o/t Dodge truck. I grabbed a bunch of stuff off of it,some to use...
The part that annoys me when browsing CL or the 'bay,is how every old car/truck "would make an excellent rat rod". Does such a thing even exist?
A few I took over the weekend... [IMG] [IMG] The Merc is sitting right off of a main road, and gets pelted with snow and salt every time a plow...
Those are the standard ones, the custom regal had headlight rings that had almost a formed visor at the top edge, almost like a '55 buick
Awesome,I don't think I've ever seen a custom regal in person, just in stock file photos. I'd love to at least find a pair of those headlight rings.
What the hell!? Around here that would still be a $1500 car
I'd love to put a 8-3/4 in it,but I just don't know where I'd find one around, not much of a selection of older Mopars in the 'yards around here.
Do the A100 vans have the 4-1/2" bolt pattern? I don't think I've even seen an A100 for parts around here in many years
What about one of of,say a late 80' dakota or jeep cherokee? I have a 8 1/4 rear out of a cordoba I chopped up a few years ago,I should measure...
I have a '55 Dodge C3B 1/2 ton, that has the stock 230 flathead 6 and the 3-speed. I enjoy driving it but the 60mph top speed kind of blows. I was...
i'm just lowering the rear about 2 inches to level it out,not gonna be slammed or anything crazy.
I had a set of '56 Caddy hub caps lying around and wanted to see how they would look on the truck (55 Dodge). I had a set of wheels that would...
You got it,that place is like my disneyland.

I put a mechanical gauge in my '55 and use the aforementioned port on the block, and I think I had to even use one of the adapters that came with...
Definitely subscribing to this thread,I have a '55 pickup, virtually the same truck. If you have a chance, could you possibly take some pics of...
Here's my '55: [IMG] Still needs some work but it's a runner and I enjoy it. Could use a V8 though...
Actually I have one,got it many years ago in a parts lot for one of my O/T trucks.
