    I'm wondering if anyone has any info or pictures of Cecil Greenley's Cadillac car that ran out of Webster City, Iowa in IMCA ARI from 1950 to 56.

    "About those nose bars or hoops-my Uncle and dad raced in URC and they alway called them IMCA bars. I think they may have been required in IMCA....

    Tickles me pink that you're getting to spend time on the Ranger. They're such a part of racing history, and there are so few examples around....

    hand crank. This starter is 5:1 ~ five turns of the crank to one turn of the motor so you can really sneak up on stuff.

    I think it's so cool that the IMCA Certificate of Big Car License is still on the dash. 1962 was the last year that Gene raced with IMCA. After that he raced with Mississippi Valley.

    This is a hand starter. This is an invaluable tool for setting up the engine. For example, adjusting the valves, setting the cam timing and mag timing. I don't know if something like this would be attainable, but it's worth looking for.

    Scavenger pump ~ I know some guys used a different pump for the scavenging but if the aircraft pump is in good shape it seems to work just fine. The pump is a 3 gear arrangement having two suction sides. Gene tapped into the pump from the outside with these 2 fittings to utilize both sides. Kinda hard to see but when you get your pump in hand you will see what I mean.

    ubolt ~ after cutting off the ports, you lose the studs. Gene made a u bolt that goes in between the fins. Kinda hard to see, just looks like grunge, but in the 4th fin is the ubolt that wraps around the head.

    I see on the Bowles car that the exhaust ports have been cut off so they come out straight. The Cunningham car is the same way. One of the reasons they did this is because they would burn a hole in the upswept portion. Gene used the exhaust port spacers on the heads after he cut them off to attach the header to.
