yes,it will fit a gm column, and it will fit a tapered and keyed early Ford column. zzzzzzzzz

I've seen tube axles that only use a set screw for the king pin. Maybe that's what he has.Then what?

you can bench test the sender with a OHM meter. I forget what 64 GM's are 0-30 or 0-90 steady needle is key. Aint that hard to pull out....
1932-34 all used the curved rear spring. The later ones used the straight rear spring.
quick fix,grind the lower 1" of the shoe at a angle. The bottom is hitting and your not getting full contact. Common problem with early repop...
