Im changing direction on my build completely. went from a 32 Ford to a Fiat Topolino running a modern aluminum IFS/IRS. the Merc 470 is too big...
you guys arent boat people are you. Merc had the reverse running drives in front of one of the motors in a twins installation.
Anyone see this?...

Probably press a 16 gauge wall tube over an 1/8" undersized snout. However the speedi sleeves are usually 410 stainless and sufficient

I found the problem. Sold the S-10 frame, and obtained a '53 3/4 Ton frame. I will be installing one of my crossmembers

Buy the S-10 and strip it for parts, then take the shell to the scrapper for $

S-10 truck and blazer have many same components, however the frames are different. The 2WD and 4x4 frames differ greatly.

chrisser, the 4x4 frame has its pros and cons like any frame swap. you can change to Rack and Pinion as the suspension is wider allowing for use...
