    In NY state we are permitted the use of classic plates. I got this one on the Internet and the state authorized it as "not in use" and I was permitted to use it. Just one plate in 1950.

    Unrestored 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. Day of delivery from Ohio to Norwich, NY bought from a dealer in Ohio who had the car on ebay, where I first saw it. Did not meet the sellers set price and auction closed. I bought it from him at his dealership. 8600!
