Thanks for saving the information. I currently have three cars that fall into this category and the information has always been very helpful.
As GAmes mentioned you can plumb in a pressure actuated switch like what was used on many cars in the 50s and early 60s. Or you can use a plunger...
[QUOTE Now everything looks like my wife's silver Subaru and I have a hard time picking hers out from the 37 other silver Subarus in the store...
Yeah, I've had a few. People made fun of them and called them refrigerator style when everyone was building F1s but I liked them.
Yeah, heads got swapped around a lot through the years.
Looks like a 1960 or newer so it's got the better distributor and possibly better heads.
We noticed the similarities with the 1st generation LS. My sons friend had one disassembled in his shop and after comparing we removed the dowels...
That's why I have hood pins on the 54. The 58 isn't a problem since the hood opens backwards.

Glad for the good report Jeff.
How did the surgery go?

Looks pretty solid as well.
Looks good. The scallops really enhance the original lines well.
Kind of an earlier version of the push bars on the late model Crown Vic police cars. My son currently drives a Taurus police car, I remember a...
Praying for you. A friend had bypass a few years ago and he said that he wished he would have had it a few years earlier since he felt so much...
Great news Jeff. The stint should be like having a new valve job, good for another 100,000 miles.
Looks like you ran over a porcupine.
