i sandblasted my pitted 52 made life a whole lot easier , took 5 hours in total, not cheap about$1500 but find someone who won't ripple your sheet...
i was told it had some thing to do with the metal shortage around the time of the korean war??? could have been left over production dashes that...
gotta build what ya can aford,did a barter deal with the sandblaster!!
in australia we didn't have 2 doors from factory,my 1952 4 door is just fine,to make something different to stand out is much cooler than the norm!!!!
