[IMG][IMG] Got a little further today. Both the front and rear axles are updated. Installed rotors on the fronts. (Still need to install...
Update: Got a little free time after turkey day and had a buddy with a welder run by. Was able to get the firebird rear end in. It was a lot...
Good to hear. I was reading a manual. Seems the 3/4 ton frame is just a hair thicker. Might have to drill the frame to mount the pedal assembly.
Sorry for such a late response to this. But is your truck that you bought the booster setup for 3/4 ton?
Btt. Been trying to search the interwebs. Haven't found much on this topic.
Hey all Got a 47 chevy thriftmaster 3600 w old brakes. Any one out there use a booster kit for a half ton on a 3600 3/4 ton frame....
Dang, i'd be curious to see how much travel i would need in order to pull off just flipping the axle and maybe only having a 2 inch notch and...
C notch* sorry was doing this from my phone
Yep. Planning on retaining everything except brakes. Only reason I'd change anything is if its broken or unsafe. If I flip the axle would,...
Yep. Very aware. Was hoping to not have to cut into the frame. But seems like I'm going to have to As for the flip kit. I'm planning on...
Well I've been here long enough. Figured I should start documenting any and all progress of my truck. A 1947 chevrolet thriftmaster 3/4 ton...
It's mostly KS dirt and mud. But it runs like a top. I just was trying to run it for longer than 30 seconds. Pm sent.
After reinstalling the radiator on my trucks. I began to fill it with coolant. About 30 seconds later it all started to pour out the bottom....
That could be, but the speedway kit was a little cheaper without the booster than the CPP. Was justcurious if anyone had experience with either....
Running a trans am rear. So bolt pattern should be 5 x 4.75. But that's good to hear about it fitting well. I hear mixed reviews about the CPP...
Wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this kit from speedway...
These are probably the best answers I've ever heard. If the evaporust fails me. Maybe I'll just have a really cool meat grinder.
Had anyone ever put evaporust in their rear end ? Will it cause damage? I picked up a rear end with light surface rust. Works great but want...
Dumb question. But is there a difference between the left and right spindles on a chevy truck? They look the exact same to me.
Well I picked it up anyways. Need the axle at the very least. The books say the spindles should be the same as a half ton truck. Which is...
Then it should be the panel truck, it has a solid axle with six lug hubs. Which means all should be well, if I'm not mistaken 41 through 54...
I almost got excited. I thought u said Daytona. I live in Orlando now. Need to fix that. But i did find a guy who a 41 axle assembly from a...
Got a lead on an axle for a 100 bucks w spindles and 6 lug hubs. Will a standard 6 lug disc conversion from speedway or cpp work for that?
Would like to keep it stock but brake parts for the earlier 3/4 ton are harder to come by
Thanks. That's a handy list. Is it available for download somewhere?
Is there any difference in the front axle assembly from 1947-53 and the 54 55? Looking for a front axle locally and want to broaden my search...
