The Jalopy Journal
If you are talking about the little notches gouged into the rib right next to the backing plate bolt hole, those are caused when the square headed...
It’s been at least a decade since I did one, but it was rather easy. As you said, plugging the old side was easy. I might have had my machinist...
Yes it’s a 33.
I’ve got many first parts, and the dream that goes with them, that might someday be built into cars. Seldom have I ever started with the car first.
No such thing as a factory stock 35 rearend that uses an open driveshaft. Did you convert it with original 48 parts, or a kit from Speedway or...
What rearend? Nothing is common in hot rodding. Who are you going to blame if someone gives you a measurement, you order your $400 driveshaft,...
I liked the video, but was sure it would have a happy ending. And then… That’s hot rodding!
Rolled.
I don’t think the rockers and shaft I own were what the head came with originally. I think they were collected by someone to replace lost parts....
I just act like I’m invisible every time I drive. Then I’m not surprised when an idiot does idiotic things.
One thread is enough.
I’ve got one extra valve in the bunch that is cut shorter and a groove added. [ATTACH] Any idea what these rockers are from? They are on a 3/4”...
[ATTACH] Some assembly needed. If anyone has a line on valve train parts (pretty sure none of mine are Miller), or articles on tricks and tips,...
Some 60’s had a transmission that took full size internals. I think only the case was special.
All of it. R and R.
Oh that is just sad. Welders and bondo should require a license to buy.
Anyone know if the repro rockers, shaft, blocks, and other valvetrain stuff from the repro Miller heads will bolt right up to an original? I’ve...
Don’t cheap out on tie rod ends. Get good Moog ones.
Floor pans should be the same, but subrails aren’t. Cowl patches are same, but rockers and quarters aren’t.
The black Ardun roadster with the aluminum scoop has Gene Winfield roots and Rob Ida restoration.
A Ford flyer. Neat!
Yeah, that’s not how Ford built it. Somebody did that to it later.
Yow! Lots of work, with high risk. Basically you need to remove the existing cam to drill the oil hole. Why not just install the late cam?
Mark is always a few days ahead of the rest of the world. That’s how he’s amassed such a great collection of cars and stuff.
You’ll also find the hinge brackets are spot welded too. Hundreds of windshield frames have been chromed without removing these.
Evidently you don’t read all the words.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] Did you see that ad for repros at $4,400?! For sale are both original grille bar...
Chiro, tell us about those thermostats.
Find a 41 transmission. A big truck trans should be free. A passenger/pickup case should be close to free, as most get their guts stolen for use...
