I still want to see a better picture of the pin boss on the broken piston...I believe you will find your answer there. ...and the question I had...
Last 55' I had...sold it.
Its very possible that all 3 are the same just different bore size. Call Egge to be sure. ( also find out pin size )
By the way, Egge kind of specializes in stuff like yours depending on how odd the motor is, they would know for sure. Then take that bore / comp...
You may be able to find the engine build spec online somewhere. Try searching through OEM stuff, or contact someone like Federal Mogel...hope this...
What your asking for is the "compression hieght" of the piston... ...Rod length + 1/2 dist of stroke = A ...Block deck height = B ...B - A =...

That would be the fuel / carbon trace above the top ring...
The piston laying in the valley...could you take a good picture of the bottom looking at the pin tower, and another picture from the side at the...
Unless the cam being to far advanced or retarded and you had Valve-to-piston issues...no, it wouldnt cause this.
Dont see one sign of rings butting. Wheres the scuff mark it would have made in the bore?
Does not look like detonation to me. Looks like a siezed wrist pin in the rod and / or piston...detonation will usually break the intake pocket on...
