Great story! My brother was out in Texas this past week visiting and he stopped by the shop to get me some t-shirts and snapped some pictures on his phone to tease me. Looks like he might have caught some action, is this Kevin's coupe?

    I know this is Bob's

My brother is not much into cars but he siad he really dug the shop, told the guy he was on a mission for shirts and the dude told him he has heard of worse missions, the shirts are in the back.

    ...baby goats are good eatin.

Trip looks really fun. I know it is stressful being broke down on the side of the road in the middle of ???? It helps out having a friend around for comic relief, if nothing else.

Wouldn't have happened if you hadn't come up with the idea at the Roundup. ...and we KILLED the back half of that roof. Huge improvement from what I rolled in with and better than it could have been any other way.

I rolled it out onto the driveway this morning and just sat there looking at with Pat Benatar playing in the background.

I'll get some pics of it soon - I don't think we stopped to take any after that part was in place?

LOL... It always sounds good at the shop, drinkin' beer, hangin'....."Yeah, we could load the coupe behind the Ranchero... cruise down to Austin for the week...thrash with the boys...." Then the ol' reality sets in.....but, reality is fun.:D Good trip. Just think, what would ya post if it went.. "Well, we loaded up an' rode down to Austin......nothin' happened". End of travel post. Thanks for postin'.

Kevin Lee & Tuck ... very cool thread!

IMO, there's nothing more "traditional" than towing a chopped coupe with a Ranchero (from the Midwest to the South):

August 1958: My father towed the coupe from his home in Beach, North Dakota
to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to participate in NHRA's "4th Annual National
    Championship Drag Races"... checkout my
    The 1958 NHRA Nationals thread.

Very cool indeed!!! I think just the road trip itself would be awesome. But then get to work on it for a whole week would be killer. It's great to see people drive thier cars and have fun. Great story!!!:)

the baby goat offer really doesn't seem strange to me....

the guy probably took one look at the evilness of that coupe and thought these heathens are up to no good! They need something to sacrifice to appease the gods.

    sounds like a cool trip!

man............I remember my freshman year at UW Stout in 1998, seeing a *****in' kanadian shoebox, parked between the dorm buildings, shootin' flames.............I could tell right then and there Tuck ruled.
