We also have a 1950 plymouth special deluxe four door that we are torn over. Its entirely original and we've been standing in the garage for the past 3 nights debating what we're going to do :).

To chop it or not to chop it? that is the question. We're starting to think if we decide to chop it (even with knowledgable help from friends) that we'll be in over our heads with this massive project...especially since its a 4 door. We're starting to think that not chopping it and giving it a different "stance" with shaved door handles would help its lack of "bad-ass" at the moment.

This thread is not helping that decision though :). The more we browse these photos the more it makes us want to go to the chop route.

Here is some pic's of my 40 Buick Coupe. I chopped this car over 25 years ago. It's cut about 2 3/4 inches. I also added a 1960 Chev Dash at that time. That's been done many times over since then. I guess it's time I get back on this project. JIM

5" chop not done by me. Still trying to sort it all out... Much like the museum it's in front of, it's a work in progress.

  28. My model A, the body was already chopped when I bought it from eternal31 here on the HAMB. I think it's chopped around 7-8" (no the grille isn't chopped yet).
