8E4AA51C-32EE-4CB5-95DE-9CB7AB44DE5C.jpeg I have two flathead 3-speed transmissions. One is a 1940 and one is a 1941. I see they have different gear ratios. Is one preferred over the other? I using the ‘41 rear with 3.78 ration in my 32 3w.

I like the 16/28 gear set. (Input is 16T) I replaced the 15/29 in my '41 Merc and I like it much better. I'm running a 3.54 rear as well.

Thanks. I use the 16/28 gear set in the ‘40 case.
